dog paddleOn week 39, I broke through the 250 pound barrier for the first time and weighed in at 249.3. That was 10 weeks ago and I have been treading water ever since. This week I was up 2.0 pounds from last week, weighing in at 248.9 – essentially the same as 10 weeks ago. Looking back over the last 10 weeks, it is pretty clear to me that my eating habits are what got me here and that makes me mad. What I put in my mouth is ENTIRELY within my control. If I want to take back my life then I need to AT LEAST excel at the things that are within my control. I have come a long way, but clearly, I still have a long way to go.

Report Card

I’m tracking 5 key categories that I have learned impact me the most. Here is my report card for this week:

Total Calories Fail My daily average for the week was 2,971 calories, well over my goal of 2,200. My failure this week was in snacking.
Intermittent Fasting Fail My goal is to fast for 16 hours every day, and I hit that 5 days this week. While I missed my goal this week, I feel like this is an area that I have under control. Sometimes my schedule dictates my eating and I am ok with that as I don’t seem to have any problem getting right back into it the next day.
Supplements Fail My goal with supplements is to make sure I have my NingXia Red every day, take my vitamins (Core Supplements) at least once a week, take Aminowise after workouts, and replace at least 3 meals a week with Slique Shake. I took the week off from exercise and that messed up my schedule with Aminowise and Slique.
Sugar Fail My goal is to average <60g of sugar per day and this week I averaged 78g this week. A lot of that is natural sugar from fruits, but I did let some snacking in this week.
Exercise Fail I took this week off from exercise.
No Sweet Treats Fail I added a goal of saying no to sweet treats like ice cream, cookies, cake, etc. until I hit my overall goal of 240 pounds. I fell short this week and let treats slip back in. I had a few desserts out and then fell for the sale on candy for Halloween at the grocery store.
