My weigh in this week was 258.1. That is down 1.8 pounds over last week and I am closing in on a total weight loss of 25%! I feel like I have learned so much on this journey and it has been great to talk to the many people who have been inspired to do the same. My original goal for weight loss was to get down to 240 pounds by the end of 2017. I have averaged almost 3 pounds per week since I began, and I only need 18 more pounds, so I could realistically hit my goal before Summer is here. Getting this close is pretty motivating

5 Day Cleanse

I know from the last few weeks that sugar has been my nemesis lately. When I did the 5 Day Cleanse, it really helped me to reduce my sugar cravings and an overall healthier emotional relationship with food. Looking back, I really believe that the cleanse was the most impactful challenge I have done so far, so I’m going to do it again. My goal is to hit my weight loss goal of getting to 240 pounds before the first day of Summer – June 21. This time around, I am going to create a closed Facebook group for anyone who wants to do the cleanse with me. I’ll share live videos and be there to answer any questions you have. The start date will be Mon. May 22, so if you are interested, let me know.

Slique ShakeLast time around Balance Complete (the meal replacement in the cleanse) was out of stock and I replaced it with vitamins and Pure Protein. This time, I’ll be doing the cleanse with the Slique Shake. I have loved this shake ever since I tried it in my Slique Challenge, and the ingredients / nutritional content is very similar to Balance Complete (which is out of stock again.)

Report Card

I’m tracking 5 key categories that I have learned impact me the most. Here is my report card for this week:

Total Calories  Pass My average for the week was 2,431 calories per day against my target of 2,200. I was below my target on 4 out of the 7 days this week. My challenge this week was with desserts/sweets.
Intermittent Fasting  Fail My goal is to fast for 16 hours every day, but I only made it twice this week. We were on the road and my schedule was off as a result. If I had prepared by packing some Slique Bars and Slique Shakes, I could have kept to my schedule. Lesson learned.
Supplements Pass I had 2oz. of NingXia Red every day with a few drops of Slique Essence added (I did pack the NingXia Red.) When I got back from my trip and started hitting the gym again, I was also more consistent with my Slique Shake.
Sugar Fail My goal is to average <60g of sugar per day and I was at 72g this week. I only hit my goal 2 days this week. Looking back, it was desserts again that were my weakness. For 3 weeks in a row, this has been a problem for me, but it hasn’t held me back on my weight loss goals. I know that I would be melting off the pounds faster if I could control this though.
Exercise Pass I was able to get in my 5 workouts this week and am not being held back with my back pain. Thanks to all who reached out with suggestions there.
