I really thought that this week would be a bad week for my weight loss as I was not able to get in any workouts. My wife really wanted an outdoor patio, so I took on the project of cutting down trees, clearing and leveling out the area, and putting in 5 yards of rock. I don’t know how to estimate this work vs. my normal workouts, but I can tell you that my body feels it a lot more. ūüôā Other than the exercise, I hit all my goals that I laid out last week¬†and this week I weighed in at 270.0 which means I lost 3.3 pounds. That brings my total so far to 73.2 pounds in 25 weeks.

Manual Labor

When I started this journey, one of my earliest workouts was turning a downed tree into firewood. As a result, I got some exercise and saved some money over hiring someone to remove it. We also enjoyed the free firewood this winter. This week was a much bigger project, but it was good to see that I have come far enough in my fitness that I could do the work. I still have some pavers to lay down, but it is looking pretty good.

I didn’t think to take a before picture, but here is the area:

Here is a close-up as we were removing some of the smaller trees:
