scale breaking 290Yesterday was day 4 of my 5 day extension to the Slique Challenge and I lost 2.4 pounds. Yep, you read that right – 2.4 pounds in one day. I have been around 290 for the last couple of weeks, and today I weighed in at 288.1. It feels great to break through the 290 mark as I haven’t been this low in over 10 years. I ended up yesterday at almost 2,700 calories, so I made up for the 400 calories I was low the previous day. I actually noticed around 8:30 last night that I was going to be a few hundred calories below my target and so I made up another meal. I really wasn’t hungry, but since I was tracking it I knew where I was. The nutrient breakdown was a little high in fat at 18% carbs / 30% protein / 52% fat. That brings the total weight loss over these 4 days to 4.2 pounds and I have one more day to go.

Breakfast (7:30am)
Pre-Workout Meal (12:30am)
For my workout today I did a slightly modified version of the circuit I did on days 1 and 2. The stations I normally use at the gym were taken, and I didn’t want to wait. I hit the same basic muscle groups and did the same 20 minutes though.
Post-Workout Meal (2:30)
Snack (around 6:00)
  • Boston Market Chicken Breast and Creamed Spinach
  • 20oz water

Dinner (around 8:30)

  • Boston Market Chicken, creamed spinach, and mashed potatoes with gravy
  • 1 oz. NingXia Red (with 1 drop each of Frankincense and Grapefruit and 2 drops Slique Essence)
  • 32oz water
