After hitting the 50-pound mark last week, I ended up gaining 0.5 pounds this week. After losing 13.3 pounds the previous 2 weeks, I was bound to level off. I also made a number of changes this week. First, I started the Slique Challenge on Monday of this week. The goal with this challenge is to include some healthy supplements and an increased percentage of protein. The second change is a more formal weight lifting program (look for more on that soon.) Lastly, I have been regularly keeping a food diary and intentionally eating around 2,000 calories every day which feels like a lot compared to what I was eating before. Next week I will go back to letting my hunger tell me how much to eat, but this week was a break for my metabolism as I adjust to the changes.

This was my senior picture that my family dug out of an old photo album. As I recall, that was as long as I could tie that tie. Thankfully, these days I’m able to buy longer ties. It is good to recall where I once was as I keep moving toward my goals this year. Here is a comparison photo of my progress so far:
