During the Sugar-Free Challenge
, I kept a food diary and was not happy with the nutritional content of what I was eating. Sometimes you need to stare at the results in black and white to be convinced that you are not doing what you think you are. I’m keeping a food diary full time now and reflecting each day on what I ate and that is helping significantly. I feel like what I need is a healthy, high protein meal that I can repeat each day. My wife mentioned that YoungLiving has a line of weight management products called Slique
. One of the products in the line is a meal replacement that is 30% protein. Over the next 2 weeks, I am going to give this line a try and see if that makes it easier for me to regulate my diet especially as I plan to take my weight lifting to the next level (look for more on that soon).
- Slique CitraSlim powder capsules
- Slique Shake
- 1 oz. NingXia Red (with 1 drop each of Frankincense and Grapefruit added)
- Healthy Lunch (target 600-800 calories)
- Slique CitraSlim powder capsules
- Healthy Dinner (target 600-800 calories)
- 1 oz. NingXia Red (with 2 drops of Slique Essence added)
If this goes according to plan, I should be eating around 2,000 calories per day with approximately 40-50% carbohydrates, 25-35% protein, and 20-30% fat. Here is more info on the products I am going to be using:
The Slique Shake is a meal replacement that is high in protein (16g) and fiber (7g). Made with pea protein, quinoa, wolfberry, pumpkin seed protein, alfalfa grass juice and a mix of fruits and vegetables, this shake is entirely plant-based. It has no artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, or GMO ingredients. Reading all the details about this shake, this is probably going to be the healthiest meal I eat.
is the newest product in the Slique line. There was a research study completed last year
that showed this product helped burn fat and lose inches. It comes in a handy package with your morning pills on one side and the afternoon on the other (the one with the liquid capsule and the powder).
The powder capsules contain a proprietary citrus extract blend, cinnamon powder, bitter orange extract, feungreek seed, ocotea leaf extract, and a customized blend of enzymes and four essential oils: Ocotea, Cassia, Spearmint, and Fennel.
The liquid capsule contains pomegranate seed oil, Lemongrass, Lemon Myrtle, and Idaho Balsam Fir essential oils.
The science and research
behind this mixture is really interesting and it seems like it will be pretty easy and convenient to take.
Slique Essence is an oil blend that combines Grapefruit, Tangerine, Lemon, Spearmint, and Ocotea with Stevia extract. There are multiple scientific studies that show the benefits these essential oils have. See this one on Grapefruit, and this one on Ocotea.
are a healthy snack alternative designed to help you feel fuller, longer. I’m going to mix this in with the Larabar that I found during thSugar-Freeee Challenge. These are higher in protein and fiber with less carbohydrates and sugars (these bars seem to have a lot more nut content).
Slique in 60
YoungLiving offers a Slique in 60 pledge that if you try the products for 60 days and don’t see results, they will give you your money back. There is also a Slique in 60 Challenge going on for the first half of 2017. If you sign up for the challenge and track your measurements and weight loss, then you can be eligible for some pretty nice prizes. The first 60 day contest has already started, but another one will be starting March 13, 2017.
If you are looking to try any of these products, sign up as a member and select the NingXia Kit (under Other Premium Kits). You will get enough NingXia Red in that kit to last you approx. 60 days. Then just click Add More Products and pick out one of the Slique kits (like Slique Complete or Slique Advanced). Feel free to contact me with any questions and I can put you in touch with my wife. She would be happy to walk you through placing the order.
