sneakersI hate running. I always have. Running as hard as you can for 20s and then resting for 10s is a lot harder than I thought it would be.

I had this feeling that I was running for my life (or at least my health) and so I did it anyway.

Today was the fourth day of my five-day challenge. I’m getting a better feel for what works in the Tabata format for me as today all three of my exercises were hard and kept my heart rate elevated the whole time:

  • Jump Squats
  • Russian Twist
  • Sprints

I came across the Russian Twist on Jillian Michael’s website and thought it would be a good break between two other exercises that I chose. In reality, I was breathing just as hard doing those as I was the jump squats and then the Sprints were the hardest of the 3. I’m not sure if that was because they were at the end or not, but I really struggled to keep up my pace through all 8 sets. Overall, this was a great workout. I will definitely keep all 3 of these in my rotation.

My second workout of the day again was Cardio Boxing with Moov Now. After the last two nights struggling at the middle (Semi-Pro) level, I decided to back off to the first level (Light) and try to go more rounds. I made it through 9 rounds (instead of 5) which took 22 minutes (as opposed to 14.) It ends up being a lighter workout, but I was still feeling it. I was again having trouble keeping my hands up and now I am off to get some Deep Relief for my shoulders 🙂 One more day to go…
